Surah Maun is the 107th sura of the Quran. It Contains 7 ayat only. It is also Meccan surah, which means it is believed to have been revealed in Mecca, instead of later in Medina.
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ
فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ
فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ
وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir RaheemAra-aital lazee yu kazzibu bid deen
Fa zaalikal lazi yadu’ul-yateem
Wa la ya huddu ‘alaa ta’amil miskeen
Fa wai lul-lil mu salleen
Al lazeena hum ‘an salaatihim sahoon
Al lazeena hum yuraa-oon
Wa yamna’oonal ma’oon
Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)?
Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),
And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.
So woe to the worshippers
Who are neglectful of their prayers,
Those who (want but) to be seen (of men),
But refuse (to supply) (even) neighborly needs
উচ্চারণ : আরা আইতাল্লাযি ইউ কায্যাবু বিদ্দ্বীন | ফাযালিকাল লাযি ইয়াদুউ’ঊল ইয়াতীম | ওয়ালা ইয়াহুদ্দু আ’লা ত্বামিল মিসকীন | ফাইয়াও লুল্লাল-মুসাল্লিন | আল্লাযিনাহুম আ’ন সালাতিহিম সাহুন | আল্লাযিনা হুম ইউরা উন | ওয়া ইয়ামনাউ’নাল মা’ঊন |
অর্থ : আপনি কি দেখেছেন তাকে, যে বিচারদিবসকে মিথ্যা বলে | সে সেই ব্যক্তি, যে এতীমকে গলা ধাক্কা দেয় এবং মিসকীনকে খাবার দিতে উৎসাহিত করে না | অতএব দুর্ভোগ সেসব নামাযীর, যারা তাদের নামাজ সম্বন্ধে বে-খবর | যারা লোক দেখানোর জন্য নামাজ আদায় করে এবং নিত্য ব্যবহার্য বস্তু অন্যকে দেয় না |
